Lesson Programs

Designed for beginner through intermediate riders who do not own or lease a horse.  The emphasis of this program is to build a solid foundation of basic horsemanship skills.   Students learn stable management, control of the horse and correct riding form, both on the flat and over fences.

Introductory Lessons $85.00 for two lessons.

Designed for beginner riders.  During the first lesson, the student is taught the proper and safe procedures involved in grooming and tacking up a horse.  In the second lesson, the student grooms, tacks up and, if time allows, mounts the horse, learning control and basic positions.

Single Riding Lesson $45.00 each
(30 min Private or 1hr Group)
Lesson Program I $195.00 /month

Five lessons per month, either group or private, combining flat work and jumping.

Lesson Program II $265.00 /month

Eight lessons per month, as above.

Lesson Information

Lesson Packages:

Lesson programs are offered at a reduced rate in comparison to the single lesson charge.  If you do not receive all of your lessons during the month, the cost reverts to the individual lesson fee.  Payment is due at your first lesson each month.  You may cancel lessons and re-schedule them during the current month only.

Schedules:

Lessons are taught every day except on Mondays.  Our first lessons of the day usually start at 9:00 and we often teach until dark.  You may either set regular riding times  at the beginning of each month, or have a flexible schedule, changing your lesson days and times as needed.  Lessons may be scheduled at the barn, by email, or with a phone call.

Attire:

Proper hardhats and footwear will be worn by all riders:

  • Riding boots with heels are mandatory while handling horses or riding.

  • An approved safety helmet is mandatory while riding in the arena or anywhere on the property.

  • Long pants (jeans or breeches) and long-sleeved shirts are recommended.

Family Discount:   A discount of 15% is applied to lesson and training rates for additional riders.
